Ertugrul Ghazi is currently one of the most popular dramas in Pakistan. It is breaking the records and has become a record in terms of PTV Home and its YouTube channel is also making records gaining more than 1.5 Million subscribers in no time. The great success of Ertugrul Ghazi is a wake-up call for both drama and local artists. Our drama industry has to break out of stereotyped stories. There is a huge financial difference in making their own shows and running of the dubbed shows, they bought from other countries.

Those who are related to the drama business are well familiar with it. Our writers should make their own historical dramas in the style that is in great demand in our country. Remember that the people have already loved dramas, like "Ishq-e-Mamnoo" and "Ayesha Gul" have been fully appreciated and now this time the Turkish drama through PTV Home reaching the villages, the people have been introduced to the new aspects of drama production.

Our TV channels are full of cluttered topics and entertainment has always been about family matters. Even after 72 years the result is that our generation doesn't have some idea of their real heroes. Our generation is not aware of this at all. There are so many great writers in our country and now it's time to get our heroes out of the books. There are wonderful artists who can deliver anything good to us. If dubbed shows can be so popular, then these voices can be more popular with their faces. Production houses and channels have to work on better stories and different subjects instead of marriage, mother in law, divorce, engagement, etc. The topics have to be explored. They have to go beyond these topics and find some unique ones. If it doesn't change, then our dramas will be like our movies. The issue of 'Saas-Bahu' is still creeping in channels now the channels have to think about how long they can stick with these topics.
